Re: Upload of 24 pin dvi driver
I have uploaded a driver for 24 pin printers for dvi files created by
TeX or LaTeX on MS-DOS machines. The person who modified the original
9 pin version is zhang@cvax.ipfw.indiana.edu. I have tried the modified
version on my Epson LQ-850 and it worked fine. He wrote it for his
Panasonic P1124 originally.
The program works identically to most other dvi drivers for printers
on your system. It creates a file which can be copied, with the /b
switch, directly to your printer. The documentation would look
identical to that for the program 'dvieps.exe'. It uses the standard
TeX environment variables. The only difference is that the file it
creates has the extension '.P18' instead of '.EPS'. Whenever the
program comes up, it says that it is for Panasonic P1124 printers,
but it will work with any Epson compatible 24 pin. It works fine on
my Epson LQ-850.
